The Siconos platform

Siconos is a free (GNU license GPL) software dedicated to the modeling and the simulation of Non Smooth Dynamical Systems (NSDS), that can be used either as a stand-alone tool or as a library.

On one side, the Kernel component provides high-level C++ methods to describe NSDS and the way to simulate them, and on the other side, the Numerics component is a set of low-level algorithms (based on classical tools such as Blas, Odepack ...) in C and Fortran.

Several interfaces with other software codes (Python, Scilab, Matlab) for an easier handling are also provided in the Front-End component.
