Engineer for web data interlinking and processing

Context: A growing number of organizations are publishing their data on the web in RDF. In order to be used, this data should be interlinked. In this context, INRIA aims at raising its latest results to an exploitable data interlinking architecture and transfer it to industry partners. The work will be in collaboration with researchers from INRIA and LIRMM in the topic.

Objectives: The position consists of:

1. designing and implementing an interconnection framework for web datasets;
2. designing and implementing or integrating interlinking methods based on recent research on ontology alignment and data linking in relation with the research teams;
3. publishing and interconnecting a specific dataset, including the development of a Web site showing the added value of publishing data as linked-data.

Required skills:

• Java programming is mandatory as well as the knowledge of practical software management (packaging, deployment, tests, etc.).
• Skills in data integration, knowledge engineering, and the semantic web will be highly regarded.

Location: INRIA Grenoble Rhône-Alpes, Montbonnot (38), near Grenoble (some travels to Paris and Montpellier)

Duration: 18 months, starting shortly, with the possibility to join in a dynamic INRIA spin-off company in a growing field.

Qualification: Master in computer science/Engineer degree, a PhD is a plus.

Salary: Based on experience and qualification according to INRIA standards.
