Roles, Subjects and Aspects: How do they relate?

Daniel BARDOU

Position paper at the Aspect Oriented Programming Workshop. 12th European Conference on Object-Oriented Programming (ECOOP '98), Brussels, Belgium, jul. 1998.
Extended abstract published in ECOOP '98 Workshop Reader, Serge DEMEYER and Jan BOSCH, editors, Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS), vol. 1543, Springer, 418-419, December 1998.

Abstract:

The need for comparison between Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP) and related approaches has been retained as a key issue in ECOOP '97 AOP Workshop. We have noticed strong similarities between AOP and some object-oriented approaches including some notion of viewpoint. We report them in this paper and we discuss how this brief comparison may be used for further discussion of the other key issues that were retained in ECOOP '97 AOP workshop.
