Research activity

My research interest is : revision in object-based knowledge representation. When a new piece of knowledge is introduced in a knowledge base, it may be contradictory with older ones and then, in order to preserve base consistency, some knowledge have to be removed - this is called revision. A lot of works have been done on this subject in logics, but none real implementation, since it is too complex. The aim of this work is to add revision on Tropes, an object-oriented representation system

That is why, I focuses on revision in object-based knowledge representation. By using object structure, it is possible to determine exactly which part of the base raises inconsistency and then to propose modifications of this sub-base. Moreover, there are a lot of possible revised bases, but we consider only minimal ones, which preserve as much of the initial base as possible.

This work leads to communications in the following conferences : RFIA'96 (French)[crampé&96], RJC'IA'96 (French) [crampé&96], LMO'96 (French) [crampé&96] et ISMIS'97 (English) [crampé&97].

Teaching experience

I teach in Pierre Mendes-France University (Grenoble) : practical courses for students in psychology and sociology (word processor, database); C++ practical courses for students preparing a Postgraduate Degree.

Other interests

Educational training of young adults, cultural tourism, hill-walking, swimming
