Check out our new book on computational glioscience, the computational approach to the study of glial cells

I am very excited to co-organize an Inserm Workshop entitled "Intracellular dynamics of molecules: analysis and models" on June 2019 in Bordeaux, France. Look here for more information and registration.

Our new paper with L. Venance lab on the regulation of STDP by BDNF has been accepted in Cerebral Cortex, see here

Our article on the implication of astrocytes in depression has been published in the prestigious journal Nature (see here)

About me

I am a "Directeur de Recherche" (i.e. tenured research professor) with Inria, the French National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control.

I am also serving as Inria's deputy scientific director for the fields "Digital health, biology and earth".

My research activities are carried out with Inria Project-Team Beagle, that is also co-affiliated with the LIRIS laboratory.

We are located in Lyon, France.

A computational cell biologist, I use computer and mathematical models to study intracellular dynamics; in particular:

  • the intracellular biochemical networks at work in synaptic plasticity and its modulation, especially by astrocytes.
  • the influence of space and molecular crowding in cell signaling and biochemistry.
