Great news: our new work with the Venance Lab and Pierre Magistretti on astrocytic energetic fuelling of the neurons has been accepted in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the U.S.A.

Our new paper with Cyril Favard on the quantification of membrane binding and diffusion using Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy has been accepted in the Biophysical Journal.

I am very happy to announce that our article on astrocytic nanoscale morphology with the labs of Erik De Schutter and Valentin Nägerl as just been accepted in Glia.

Lisa's paper on astrocytic modulation of up-down regimes has been accepted in PLoS Computational Biology. Great job, Lisa!

Check out the book we edited on computational glioscience, the computational approach to the study of glial cells

About me

I am a "Directeur de Recherche" (i.e. research professor, with tenure) with Inria, the French National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology.

My research activities are carried out with the Inria Project-Team AIstroSight, that I co-supervise. AIstroSight is a joint team between Inria, the Hospices Civils de Lyon (HCL, Lyon University Hospital), University Claude-Bernard Lyon-1 and the company Theranexus.

We are located in Lyon, France.

A computational cell biologist, I use computer and mathematical models to study intracellular dynamics; in particular:

  • the intracellular biochemical networks at work in synaptic plasticity and its modulation, especially by astrocytes.
  • the influence of space and molecular crowding in cell signaling and biochemistry.
